Husky Welcome
Identify your academic, personal and career goals
Find ways that UWB can help you meet your goals
Cross-campus enrollment
What do you want to get out of your experience at UW Bothell?
What skills would you like to develop that you don’t currently have or skills you would
like to improve?
Where do you see yourself in… 3 years from now? 5 years from now? 10 years from now?
Community Based Learning
(CBL)
The OCBLR builds and strengthens mutually beneficial partnerships between campus
constituents and on- or off-campus communities, schools and organizations through the development of research,
service, and teaching practices that are oriented toward public problem-solving.

How to Avoid Plagiarism1. Use your ideas and your own words.
2. Give credit for other's ideas and words, even if you paraphrase.
3. Even if you reword the wording, that doesn’t make the work yours, so again
give credit where credit is due.
4. Cite everything, no matter where you find it

5. Common knowledge does not need to be cited, but make sure it's
common knowledge!
6. If you're not sure, be safe and use a citation.

Student Conduct Code• Treat everyone and their ideas/beliefs with respect. Learn
from the differences!
• Getting angry and demanding to get what you want may be considered threatening behavior and could be considered a violation of the student conduct code.
• Sexual harassment and discrimination of any sort is not tolerated. Contact the University Ombudsman if you feel you have been harassed or discriminated against.
• If you don't get the answer you want ask the person what the next step in the appeal process is.
Undergraduate Grading System• UW Bothell uses a numerical grading system.
• Instructors may report grades from 4.0 to 0.7 in 0.1 increments and the grade 0.0.
• The number 0.0 is assigned for failing work or unofficial withdrawal.
• Grades in the range 0.6 to 0.1 may not be assigned.
• Grades reported in this range are converted by the Office of the Registrar to 0.0. Numerical grades may be considered equivalent to letter grades as follows:
Incomplete• An incomplete is given only when the student
has been in attendance and has done satisfactory work until within two weeks of the end of the quarter.
• A student must have furnished proof satisfactory to the instructor that the work cannot be completed because of illness or other circumstances beyond the student's control.
• The grade is immediately converted to a 0.0 by the last day of the following quarter if the agreement is not upheld.
• For more information visit: http://www.uwb.edu/registration/policies/grading/grading-ug

be reinstated if you want to return.
ReinstatementYour advisor will walk you through
the reinstatement process.
You potentially may not be accepted back into the university.
