Hunger games: The hunger games is based on a book in which a young girl named Katniss Everdeen is put into the hunger games after her sister was picked out as tribute. Katniss and her sister are really close and since her sister is really young Katniss then nominated herself instead to go into the games. The hunger games are a game that happens every year. A boy and a girl are both nominated from each of the twelve distracts, so there is twenty-four tributes all together. To win you must survive the games by defending yourself. All the losers are murdered by the others. Peter was nominated with Katniss. Peter is a poor boy who lives with his mum and siblings. When Katniss and peter go into the games they split up until Katniss finds peter in a cave where they hide and sleep. Usually there is only one winner of the games but since Katniss and peter are the only two left they agree to kill each other with berries since they don’t want to kill each other. The capital stops them and say they are both winners. I think mostly teens and young adults would watch this movie since it is an action movie with romance in it. I don’t think that there is a particular gender who would watch this movie since it has stuff for both female and male. The movie is a 12A since it has a lot of deaths and blood in it. Some say it is not suitable for children since it has a lot of fighting in it so it’s not a good impression for children. The budget for the hunger games is 78 million USD. Gary Ross directed the hunger games. He has also directed Pleasantville which is an old Tv program. He has never really done an action movie before so this was his first and it then became really popular. When Philip Seymour Hoffman's died everyone thought they would use CGI to recreate him but they decided not to. But CGI was used to create stuff like hover boards and fire. I don’t think the hunger games were premiered in 3D.
