1. PDLC Smart Film Introduction

Switchable Transparent Film (STF) is known as

PDLC film (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal), also

called electric smart film, electronic curtain, etc. It

is a new electronic controlled optical product,

based on membrane technology, attach mixed

claviform macromolecule liquid crystal and

prepolymer to transparent conductive substrate,

to let transparent conductive substrate possesses

nature of liquid, crystal and photoelectricity.

The latest generation of smart film provides a

simple, affordable alternative to other 'intelligent

glass' solutions.

When power off, the liquid crystal molecules are randomly oriented, scattering light

and the Smart Film becomes opaque (frosted, private).

When power on, the liquid crystal molecules align and incident light passes through,

the Smart Film instantly becomes clear (transparent).

1.2. PDLC Smart Products Feature

(1). Privacy Protection:

Transparent (Power on), Opaque but light pervious (Powder off) in high switching

speed.

(2). Energy Saving:

In an energized state, only 5W low power consumption per square meter per

hour. 60% infrared can be shield by smart film to reduce heat radiation and transfer;

99% of UV can be shield to protect interior furnishings from color-fading or aging, to

protect personnel from diseases caused by ultraviolet radiation.

(3). Sound Proofing:

Smart film is with sound damping effect, can effectively block all kinds of noise.

(4). Diversified Control:

Smart film and smart glass can be controlled by wall switch, dimmer, motion

detector, light, temperature sensor, remote controller or remote network control.

1.3. PDLC Smart Products Categories

(1). Self-Adhesive PDLC Smart Film

Self-adhesive smart film has a special glue layer on one side of the film, which can be

pasted on existing glass directly, transparent when power on, opaque/frosted when

power off, will give you transparency and privacy when need, and enlarge the space.

It's suitable for existing window or door glasses or existing interior partition glasses,

also can be applied to produce insulating smart glass.

Compared with traditional laminated smart glass, SA-STF is light, easy to deliver and

convenient for installation. It is a time saving option to paste on glass surface and

offers best solution for the already installed ordinary glass to realize projection,

advertisement, exhibition display.

(2). Non-Adhesive Smart Film

Non-adhesive smart film is the very regular smart film in market, which is used for

making smart glass, it should be mounted into 2 pieces of glasses with EVA by

laminating machine and it’s used for glass factory to process to make smart glass.

2. PDLC Smart Glass

Smart glass is one kind hi-tech laminated glass based on PDLC technology, also

known as intelligent glass, LC dimmable glass. Sandwich the PDLC film between two

panels of glasses, a new optoelectronic product comes out after high temperature

and high pressure agglutination. As the PDLC film is opaque when powder off,

transparent when powder on, the smart glass can not only be normal glass, but also

plays as electrically controlled curtain to protect privacy and provide you

comfortable & green life.

3. Iwitte PDLC Smart Film for Rear Projection System

Rear Projection System Components and Principles:

1). Device Components: Controlling device, projector and smart film /smart

glass.

2). Projection Principles: the controlling device consists of output controller,

power controller and process unit. Connect projector with output controller, smart

film / smart glass links with power controller, then output controller and power

controller connect with each other within controlling device set by process unit.

When power on, smart film / smart glass becomes transparent, can plays as clear

common glass; when power off, smart film / smart glass becomes opaque, it canbe

used as rear projection screen.

Wide-angle precision optical projector is recommended, which is 0.233m

ultra-short focal distance. 200 inch projection image is easy to achieve when 4500lm

projector applied; for 6000lm brightness, larger than 200 inches projection image is

enabled like showcase advertising, big new products release conference, cultural

transmission company, concerts, exhibitions and other commercial advertising.
