Ans-1 there is a close relationship between agriculture and industry. Agriculture is indispensable for industries. Industries need raw materials which are agriculture products. Without agriculture products our industries will come to a half. For example a sugar industry is based on sugar-cane which is an agriculture product. Agriculture, too , is dependent on industries. Agriculture needs implement like mattock, plough, spade, tractor, thrasher and other tools which are manufactured by industries. These agriculture tools help to produce more crops. Chemical fertilizes and insecticides are also needed and they are provided by industries. If they are used in agriculture, huge quantities of crops can be obtained. Similarly, industries manufacture generators which are used for irrigation. In this way, there is close relationship between agriculture and industries. The lowlands are more suitable for farming than the highlands because In the highlands, temperatures are cooler and that restricts the cultivation to one crop in a year. Secondly, the soil in the lowlands are more fertile as the river brings down soil from hilly terrain and deposits here. In hilly areas since the top soil that is fertile is eroded by the river, it hardly remains worthy of cultivation.

(i) Tertiary Activities are the economic activities which involves, providing services such as banking or retail.

(ii)  Sericulture is the commercial culturing of silkworms to produce silk for use in the textiles industry.

(iii) Viticulture is the intensive cultivation of grapes which deals with the series of events that occur in the vineyard.

(iv) Arable land is a land that is capable of being used for crop growing and, thus, has qualities including a fresh water supply and a richness in nutrients, and is located where the prevailing climate is suitable (not too hot or too cold).
