characteristics and tendencies that influence development such as

• Hair and Eye Color• Blood Type• Life Expectancy and likeliness for

possible illnesses.• Handeness• Those with an extreme hereditary

posistion are called nativists.

Example of Extreme Opinions

Bowlby’s Theory of Attachment (1969)believes that the attachment of the child to the mother is an innate process that obtains survival.

NURTURE• Refers to the environment

surroundings and experience which determine your development such as• Home • Religion• Culture • Education• Those with extreme Nature

posistions are called Empirist.

Example of Extreme Opinions

Bandura’s Social Learning Experiement (1977) which states aggression as being learned from the environment through observation and imitation.

He’s famous experiment with a Bobo doll displays this theory.

Both!I think they are both influential in our development. Nature is genetic makeup and shows our blue print for some of our abilities, while nurture is the environment surroundings which helps influences us to reach our highest ability or can be negative and do the opposite.

How much?• How much is the real question in today’s practice.

There are so many facts on either side that it really is hard to say that only one of these factors influences peoples behaviors. It’s more about how much of certain influences both herititary and environment effect certain situations of development in our lives.

I can Recognize within my own Family how Nature and Nurture Play a Part in a Healthy Development.

Nature and Nurture shows that the decisions you make for or about a child can have a effect even into adolenscene.

I hope to one day be a Family Councillor and I hope that by recognizing the influences of nature and nurture that I can help people adjust their environments to a more positive standard.
