DIRECTV MFH2 & MDU-Complete DIRECTV MFH2 Signal Delivery Systems DIRECTV MFH2 HDTV SYSTEM The DIRECTV MFH2 System is a single-wire solution for distributing all DIRECTV Ku/Ka satellite bands from each orbital satellite slot into a Multi- Dwelling Unit (MDU) via a single homerun wire. This technology enables a customer to receive all of DIRECTV’s programming and services on multiple receivers inside a customer’s premise. The main technology element for MFH2 is the eight (8) channel Single Wire Multi-Switch module (SWM-8) and the six slot FMC-6 chassis. The eight channel SWM is designed to provide DIRECTV programming from all current and future Ku/Ka satellites via a single home run wire to a set of multiple receivers connected using one or more passive splitters inside the customer premise. SWM-8 allocates up to eight channels for viewer selected programming for MFH2 compatible receivers. The FMC-6 is a six (6) slot chassis designed to house up to six (6) SWM-8 modules. SWM-E2Dual SWM ExpanderThe SWM-E2 is a Dual SWM Combiner usedto connect two SWM-8 Multiswitches usingone power supply in an MFH2 system. Thiscomponent combines multiple SWM-8Multiswitches without having to use an FMC6Chassis and are designed for small to mediumsized properties or to expand the number ofdrops to an MFH2 existing system.

SWM-E4Quad SWM ExpanderThe SWM-E4 is a Quad SWM Combinerused to connect up to four SWM-8Multiswitches using two power supplies. MFH2 is an effective solution for delivering the full suite of DIRECTV® services toMulti Dwelling Properties. MFH2 leverages Single Wire Multi-switch (SWM) technology to provide DIRECTV programming and services via a single home-runwire. Additionally, this same platform and single wire can be used to deliver othervoice, broadband data and other services.

MFH2 is a full service solution an supports the latest line of DIRECTV SWM capable receivers and all of the features available on each model. This includesdual-tuner DVR and the new networking features available on the HD DVR.

The DIRECTV HD channel lineup is poised to offer up to 150 National HD channels. All of the new channels will be delivered via the new Ka-bandsatellites. MFH1 based properties will want to upgrade to MFH2 technology to enjoy these new HD channels.
