Frog Spawn

21 dayshttp://exchange.smarttech.com/details.html?id=a25e21eb-b791-4eef-bc78-18483c219c8c 3Frogs eggs float in water. Frogs lay their eggs in clumps of jelly called frog spawn. The jelly helps protect the eggs. Frogs can lay up to 4000 eggs at a time! It takes about 21 days before they hatch.

3Tadpole

http://exchange.smarttech.com/details.html?id=ac69d08f-34e2-4c9d-ba23-aeb340c0a905 4Tadpoles hatch from the eggs and live in the water. Tadpoles breathe through gills just like fish. They are very delicate. They attach themselves to grass to help protect themselves. After about 7-10 days they begin to swim around and look for food.

4Froglet

12 weekshttp://exchange.smarttech.com/details.html?id=f6d073a8-53eb-4b42-b47d-d701ae7252e1 7A froglet looks like a small frog, but he or she still has a short tail. Each day the tail shrinks until one day it is gone completely. By now the froglet is trying to breathe air with newly developed lungs (just like us). This takes about 12 weeks (3 calendar pages).

12 16 weekshttp://exchange.smarttech.com/details.html?id=f41240b8-c719-402a-927d-39f31414d321 8An adult frog has two long back legs, two short front legs, and no tail. An adult frog breathes air like we do and lives on land. As frogs grow they must shed their skin. Usually they eat their skin. Mmm, Mmm, Mmm! Frogs that live where it is cold must hibernate during the winter. When spring arrives they find a mate and lay more eggs and it starts all over again! Frogs develop more quickly in warm water.
