In stark aesthetic contrast to neighbouring high-end boutiques; the syncopated rhythm of alternating cool-white-fluorescent light-boxes and black voids of exposed ceiling, sets up an “op-art” plane - provoking the attention of passers-by; while helping resolve space constraints and ceiling clutter. Viewed from the exterior, the high ambient light created by the luminous pattern minimizes daytime storefront reflections, and turns the entire store into a show window - bringing the interiors to the street; whereas when viewed from the interior the glass acts much like a mirror. The cool light is balanced by warm accent-lights selectively aimed at objects of display. Farther, this transitions to the subdued glow of the back-lit white-gauze curtains in the fitting area.
