Linda van der Walt is the Founder and force behind HTC – Hospitality Turnkey Consultants. A trained interior designer, she has experience across a range of sectors including commercial, hospitality and residential and has become an expert in mixed-use and single developments, though her passion is in the hospitality and leisure sectors. Through this international and multidiscipline experience, Linda has developed strong relationships with a global network of leading design consultants, project managers, fit out and construction companies and international and local operators. Linda works very closely with the Client, developer and owner to ensure that a successful and functional project is delivered on time and on budget, leading the project from concept design, through all the design stages, tender, procurement, site supervision and to handover via clear and simple strategies. Linda’s personal portfolio includes Downtown Dubai, The Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches, The Address Hotels, international and local hotels in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and North Africa. With an eye for quality, superior sense of style and a Client-centered approach to business, Linda has a proven track record in successful project delivery, offering a balance of creativity, collaboration and forward thinking with a structured, organized and detailed mentality, enabling her to deliver focused development, follow through and the total completion of every aspect of a project.

Key activities would include: • Support in the overall project brief, strategy and preliminary budget • Recommend a project organization structure, defining roles and responsibilities of the project manager, consultants and contractors • Assist in assembling the project team, including the Operator • Oversee the appointment process of consultants and contractors • Finalize the overall budget and project team • Leading the design consultants through the design process, development and handover (time, cost & quality) • Attending design workshops throughout all the design stages contributing best practice, industry norms and experience to ensure an efficient result • Assist architect and interior designer to develop an attractive and functional mock-up room and layouts for public areas, restaurants, retail, recreational facilities and MICE spaces • Attend and manage meetings on behalf of the Client • Maintain regular communication with the Client to ensure key decisions and resolution of challenges • Provide guidance on suitable hospitality procurement strategies in view of the budget and timeframe parameters • Co-Ordinate with the Operator and relevant consultants to establish a common snag list with clear roles and responsibilities for actions required
