HSBC Pro Soccer Clinic 2013 July 1 st - July 5 th BAA Field | Ages 4 - 16 | Males and Females Kiddy Kickers Group (Coed Clinic) 4 - 5 years 6:00pm - 7:00pm Basic Group (Male and Female Groups) 6 - 10 years 6:00pm - 8:00pm Bridge to Success (Male and Female Groups) 9 - 16 years 9:00am - 12:00pm The HSBC Pro Soccer Clinic, founded by Bascome/Goater Pro Soccer, sponsored by HSBC, has had more than 4,500 participants over the past 21 years. HSBC Pro Soccer Clinic Kiddy Kickers The Kiddy Kickers programme, a starter clinic for players ages 4 & 5 years old introduces them to the FUN-damentals of soccer. A parent or guardian must accompany each player for the entire daily one hour training session. Players will be taught basic soccer skills and fun drills. This is a chance for parents to get actively involved! Basic Group Open to male and female players ages 6 - 10 years the Basic Group provides players with the opportunity to build on their soccer skills and be taught the importance of positive discipline and becoming team players both on and off the field. Participants will be taught by qualified coaches and experienced players. Male and female players will be in separate groups. Bridge to Sucess Open to male and female players ages 9 to 16, the Bridge to Success programme will give players the tools to become the model player. In addition to providing players with the opportunity to build on their soccer skills, learning positive discipline and becoming team players on and off the field, participants will focus on overall technique, the value of possession, their values as players and participate in blackboard/life skills sessions. At the end of the week each player will take a test to ensure they have learned and understood the importance of the information they received. The test will cover information from their training and blackboard/life skills sessions. To pass, players must achieve a minimum of a 70% in 2 of the 3 areas tested. Areas are Game Awareness, Health and Fitness and Social Conduct. School of Excellence Fourteen years ago we introduced the School of Excellence which combines soccer training, education and work experience. Training our youth to become reliable, responsible team players on and off the field are the objectives of the programme. Ten passing participants from the Bridge to Success programme, that show good team leadership skills and positive discipline are selected by the clinic coaches to participate in the School of Excellence and will be announced at the Bridge to Success presentation on July 5 th . The School of Excellence will run from July 8 th - 12 th . It involves classwork, work experience and soccer training from 9:30am - 6:30pm. It provides our players with an incentive to participate in the HSBC Pro Soccer Clinic, and encourages them to be role models for our younger players. The School of Excellence is coed.
