Heartstrings Community Foundation®

To assist adults with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, productive and independent lives through employment in the business community. This will be accomplished by building successful and enriched business relationships in the community using the unique expertise and practices of the HCF® model to employ adults with developmental disabilities.

Heartstrings Community Foundation® owns 3 successful retail stores employing people with developmental disabilities.

Heartstrings Community Foundation® is a non-profit organization – 501(c)(3) – that employs people with developmental disabilities in interactive positions in the community. It is estimated that HCF® employees interact with over 400 people every week!

Three retail stores On My Own® Home Accessories Store, On My Own Too (booth at Sentimental Journey Antique Mall) and Sacks on Santa Fe Fine Clothing & Accessories Store provide community-based training and employment.

The employees are paid commissions on sales.

■ Skilled teams evaluate the items and process them to present clean and pressed items in good condition.

■ Employees assist the shoppers in finding appropriate sizes and styles.
