The HR Summit and Expo is the Middle East’s largest show dedicated to HR professionals in the region. Running for more than a decade, the show has grown to become the ultimate platform to feature the latest innovation, strategies, insights and international best practices by the most influential and respected HR leaders and practitioners from around the globe.

In 2014, the show was inaugurated by HE Amal Bin Adi and attracted about 3,000 HR professionals from the Middle East and beyond. The show featured 6 international gurus and inspirational speakers, 80+ speakers, 70+ exhibitors and more than 60 free learning seminars. In 2015, the show promises an even bigger experience.

The show in 2014 witnessed a record number of industry visitors with nearly 3,000 participants from across the region, a 20% growth on the previous year. The show also saw a growing number of visitors from not only the Middle East but also neighbouring countries like India and Pakistan.

Visitor profile continues to be split evenly between different HR disciplines due to the comprehensive coverage of the industry on both the show floor and learning seminars.

Innovation at the HR Summit continued in 2014 with our best-ever speaker lineup. Instead of 1 or 2 gurus, the show in 2014 featured 6 of best-in-class global thinkers, authors and inspirational speakers. The 2014 edition saw the attendance of 360 senior HR professionals from the Middle East and beyond.

The programme was also remodelled to give delegates access to more than 60 concurrent sessions across 3 rooms throughout the 3 days to truly customise their show experience. A new HR Strategy Series of concurrent sessions was also introduced with carefully selected speakers and topics that reflect the challenges and aspirations of HR in the Middle East.

The show in 2014 featured over 60 educational sessions covering the hottest topics in HR. Participants heard from local, regional and international experts on wide-ranging issues addressing every HR challenge.

The seminar programmes ran across 3 seminar rooms with 6 different tracks covering recruitment, talent, learning and development, compensation and technology. A new track was also dedicated to professional development of HR professionals that was very popular among attendees.

The seminar also provided a platform for show sponsors and exhibitors to showcase their thought leadership at the Middle East’s largest HR event.

Every year, the Middle East HR Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals, departments, teams and organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of the Middle East HR profession.

In 2014, the Awards had over 45 qualified entries, the highest number since the conception of the programme. The judging panel, made up of 12 independent experts noted the exceptionally high quality of nominated programmes from organisations across the region. Winners and shortlisted companies include Etihad Airways, Etisalat, Haya Water, Saudi British Bank (SABB) and Serco.

2014 also saw the introduction of 2 new categories, Innovation in Employee Engagement and HR Team of the year. Both categories were very popular amongst entries as they reflect the evolving nature of the profession.

PRInT The HR Summit and Expo 2014 marketing strategy consisted of a print advertising campaign that extended itself across leading international and regional industry publications, magazines and newspapers. A total of 41 adverts appeared as part of the campaign, covering a range of the most renowned titles.

WEBSITE Our websites provide the best online platform to communicate to a target audience of Human Resource professionals across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa. The HR Summit and Expo 2014 website attracted more than 44,080 total visits with 33,037 unique visitors.

dIREcT maIlvisitor invitations, in the form brochures, flyers, postcards and letters were mailed across the Middle East to top HR professionals inviting them to HR Summit and Expo 2014. More than 11,000 contacts were carefully selected from our extensive and ever growing database.

EmaIl maRKETIngOur targeted and extensive email campaign was our most comprehensive to date, communicating with more than 101,200 people. We have carefully analysed the results and trends to build and grow the data for the 2015 event.

mOBIlESmS With mobile technology at the forefront of communication, our SMS reminders and easy registration messages reached out to more than 40,600 contacts across the GCC.

mobile app2014 also featured the successful launch of the official HR Summit and Expo 2014 app. The app included a social timeline, speaker listing, exhibitor listing, floor plan and the seminar schedule to enhance the attendees’ experience. Developments are already in progress to make the app even more interactive for 2015.
