Human Resource Module1. ABSTRACT

The main aim of the project is to develop a Human Resource Module

for the Intranet Automation of HR Software. CMC is one of the premium

offshore companies in developing quality software. It has an Intranet

through which all the employees in the company will be knit together.

It has different modules such as Library, Project Management, and

Marketing etc., connecting the employees in the company.

Human Resource Module in the Intranet in which all the

information regarding the employees in the company will be present.

The module has been developed with good Interaction /

communication facilities between the employees and HR

Administrator.

The web pages about an employee are created dynamically based on

the user id and password and links are provided to web pages

containing information about Employee General Details, Contact

Details, Skill Details, Education Details, Certification Details and Project

Details. An Information Hierarchy is maintained i.e. the information

regarding a particular employee is accessed by the same or any

person above him in the information hierarchy.

Direct links are provided to all the employees for posting their

Suggestions and Grievances to a person concerned or a Group of

persons. An automatic Email will be sent to the person or group of

persons selected regarding the Suggestions or Grievances.

Each employee has the facility of Updating his General Details,

Contact Details, Education Details, Certification Details, Skill Details

and Project Details. User Controls are provided for Navigating through

the web Pages.

Page 2: hrms

HR Admin page is created with HR Admin Tasks. HR Administrator is

provided with facility of Adding Employee in to the company.

He adds the new employee’s General details and can also enter his

Contact, Skill, Education, Certification, and Project Details. He also has

the facility of Viewing / Updating all Employees General, Contact,

Educational, Certification and Project Details.

HR has the facility to view detailed Reports regarding the projects in

the company. He has the facility of viewing a detailed report regarding

the projects done based on Application / Verticals. This displays a

detailed of all the Application / Verticals and all the projects that were

done and are being done under them. A link is provided to the name of

the project, which displays the Team Members of the project along

with the total working days on the project by each employee.

HR has the facility of viewing a detailed report regarding the projects

done based on the Technologies Used for the projects. This displays a

detailed report of all the Technologies Used and all the projects that

were done and are being done under them. A link is provided to the

name of the project, which displays the Team Members of the project

along with the total working days on the project, by each employee.

HR also has the facility of viewing a summary report of all the projects

done by a particular employee. A list of all employees is provided along

with the employee’s Designation and Department. A link is provided to

the name of the employee, which on clicking gives the details of the

projects done by that employee in the company and prior to working in

this company.

Existing System

Automation of Hr Software has implemented different modules

such as

Library

Project Management

Marketing etc..,

Connecting the employees in the company.

Demerits of Existing System:

The shortcoming oh HR Module has made the Automation of Hr

software incomplete for automation. The system has not implemented

the HR Module for the employees regarding his/her

Employee General details -Personal information

Project analysis -Technical Experience before assignment

PROPOSED SYSTEM

Decision in assigning proper skillful hands for the project is an

important issue in HR Module. The HR Administrator should report with

the personal holding the necessary skills required for the project

assignment. The decision in making analysis about the employee’s

skills is a prime important before booting in. The proposed system of

HR Module is the right software to be incorporated into the Automation

of HR Software for helping the organization needs with respect to

skillful Human Resource. The Proposed system provides detail general

information about the employee along with Educational, Certification,

skill and project details. It enhances the HR Management in adding,

viewing and updating employees details and generates various reports

regarding employee’s skill and experience.

3. DESIGN PRINCIPLES & EXPLANATION

3.1. MODULES

Page 4: hrms

The list of modules incorporated with Human Resource Module is:

Employee Info Module

Hr Module

Project Module

3.2. MODULE DESCRIPTIOIN

Employee Info Module:

This module generates employee’s general information along with

contact, qualification,

Skill, certification and project information for the HR Administrator.

Based on the skill provided by the employee he/she will be assigned

project task. Any mismanagement is handled and respective response

is generated.

HR Module:

This module has control over the system and able to manage the

human resource for the various technical needs of the organization. It

handles employee’s personal and official details. Adding, viewing and

updating employee information and generating various reports based

on present and previous project performance is very much maintained.

Project Module:

This module deals with project details and project schedule of the

employee by the HR administrator .based on the project Management

specification and technical skills of the employee the module generate

the decisive information about the employee’s strengths and

weaknesses.

4.1. DATAFLOW DIAGRAMS

Data flow diagram is a pictorial representation of the system in

which flow of data from one process to another process is described. A

Data Flow is composed of

1. Data movement shown by arrows.

2. Transformation or process of data shown by named circle or

rounded rectangle.

3. Sources and destination of data represented by named rectangle.

4. Static storage or data at rest denoted by an open rectangle that is

named.

Level-0 DIAGRAM

It’s a diagram, which shows whole system at once. The

sources in level-0 diagram for this system are Administrator i.e. HR and

these are linked to the emp, project module. The level-0 Diagram is

Page 6: hrms

shown in fig (0):

Fig (0)

LEVEL-1 DIAGRAM:

User login process is the Level-1 DFD shown in Fig

(1). In this level, administrator has to give out the login details i.e. user

id and password and then only he can be logged on. The admin id and

password given by the Administrator are checked from the data stored

Page 7: hrms

in the database. The table that contains the login data is referred for

checking the details given by the Administrator, if the admin id and

password given by the Administrator are correct then he can be logged

on to the site.

Fig(1)

LEVEL -2 DIAGRAM:

The different processes done by administrator is shown in Level-2 DFD

as shown in Fig(2).

4.2. E-R DIAGRAMS

ER Diagrams represent the relationship between the entities. An

ER diagram is composed of

1 Entity is shown by rectangle.

1 Attribute is shown by oval.

2 Relationships with rhombus.

Page 9: hrms

3 Optional is shown by circle.

4 Compulsory with dash.

5 Primary key with underscore.

We can represent Entity Relationship diagrams in two methods. From

ER diagrams as shown in Fig (4) we can conclude Dependency,

Association, Generalization and Realization.

4.3. DATA DICTIONARY

The most important aspect of the system is data design. The

data must be organized according to the system requirements.

The database approach is used to store and organize the data in

developing the system. The database is an integrated collection of

data stored in different types of tables.

Some general objectives in establishing a database are as follows:

Integrating all data

Incorporate updations easily

Provide data security from unauthorized users
