HR Summit, 2010

Keeping in mind the pressing HR Challenges in contemporary business

scenario, the topic for discussion for HR Summit, 2010 is:

“HR TRANSMUTATION – A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE ”

HR Transmutation refers to the necessity to relook and overhaul HR

processes and practices. Since transmutation is a Universal act and not an

individual change, it is about changing mindset of business/HR leaders, a

change that will probably start from the core and percolate in multiple

directions.

Traditional, deliberate, and risk-averse hiring and retention models lead to

positions remaining open for long periods, opportunities lost as top

prospects find other positions, and a reduction in the overall talent level of

the organization.

Many political, economic events have played a significant toll on HR

professional in companies like security threat after 9/11, economic

recession, rise in terrorism, wars and invasions, health issues, include

globalization and currency devaluations.

The workforce is being transformed through rapid changes in its makeup–

more women, more minorities, more generations in the workforce and more

disparate types of workers – from contingent to virtual. These trends are

accelerating faster than most organisations can respond.

This summit provides us an opportunity to participate in a forum for the critical

examination and analysis of these key issues.
