Step 2 – Scan the EnvironmentWorkforce AnalysisKey demographic employment dataand characteristics.Internal workforce trends

Internal ScanFocuses on identifying the factorswithin the department that mightaffect the HR capacity.

External ScanFocuses on identifying externalfactors that may affect workforcecapacity.

Step 3 – Conduct a Gap AnalysisCurrent and future HR requirementsneed to be projected based on an analysisof departmental goals and priorities, andenvironmental scanning.

Step 4 – Set HR PrioritiesSubsequent to an examination to thegap analysis outcomes, HR prioritiesshould be determined and the strategiesneeded to achieve desired outcomes mustbe identified by departments.
