There is no place in today’s world for old school “upgrades” based on how the
world has changed. Every HR organization in the world must “re-
implement” with processes and technologies that match today’s and
future workplace needs
Meaningless Upgrades
Software today must be deployed and adopted in a manner that drives
immediate value and focuses on the things that matter versus the things that we thought used to matter. Deployment
must be thought through and tied to overall organizational strategy.
Value
Buyers should only select do deploy software from vendors that can meet the expectations of Workplace 2020 “out of
the box” and take an organization to immediate Workplace 2020 compliance.
Expectations
Consumerism is measured in the eye of the beholder and is an art not a science. Only a few vendors deliver the consumer side experience versus a focus on only the
business function.

As organizations continue to learn that outside tools like LinkedIn know more
about their talent then they do and world economies continue to expand to a point of massive skills shortages, organizations
must adopt a “talent first” strategy.

Organizations must think of their core HR software as a MDM tool as well as a tpp;
for transactional HR and Finance applications.
Data
Mobile first in today’s world is not a nice to have but mandatory. Organizations
must have the ability to push customers to mobile without add on technology and
massive IT support.

There is no organization that should be delivering services to their workplace in
the same way and the expectations change daily. New software built in this
decade is in the perfect position to not let HR repeat the sins of the past and truly
create consumer delivery models demanded by the workforce.
This is not about HR technology. If you are selling and positioning HR technology everything is more difficult. The business
case, the deployment plan and the adoption plan. Technology today is a tool that empowers an organizations business
strategy and improves organizational performance on a real time basis.
