HR & Foreign Recruitment Diploma

This diploma is designed for those intending excel in their career as human resources professionals or recruiters. The modules are designed to equip candidates with the required knowledge, latest industry practices and training to be successful professionals. Graduates of this program can be employed throughout the private and public sectors, or they may be self-employed.

After the completion of this program, students will be able to; identify organization’s human resources needs, recruit new employees, make strategies for employees retention, communicate compensation plans, manage workforce relations and conflicts, develop and implement performance evaluation strategies, ensure and implement health and safety standards at the workplace. In addition to that students will also have detailed knowledge to recruit foreign workers, meet ESDC standards, deal with work permits, work on LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) applications and several other technicalities which are required to hire a foreign worker in Canada. A successful graduate may also communicate effectively with legal professionals in the matters related to hiring temporary foreign workers.

Program Delivery

Classroom lectures will be the main method of teaching. Additionally, group discussions, mock interviews, quizzes, presentations, problem-based learning activity, group assign-ments, individual assignments and other combination of teaching methods will also be used by the instructor where necessary.

Evaluation & Grading PolicyEvaluation of student progress is based on completion of course assignments, participation in quizzes, and active participation in classroom discussions. Due dates and criteria for successful completion of module quizzes and final assignment will be outlined by the instructor at the beginning of the program. The student must achieve a total final grade of at least 60 percent to graduate.
