We’re seeking to better understand the mediaconsumption preferences of billions of individuals and build abridge between the offline and online worlds, providing real cross-device audience engagement capabilities to brands and agencies.We’ve developed a proprietary audio content recognition platformthat analyses the television viewership of over 500 TV channels,radio and cinema and profiles millions of users on their mediaconsumption.

Deployed across millions of smartphones, Zapr has rapidly growninto one of the world’s largest media consumption repositories andaudience platforms, ushering in greater transparency andEfficiency into media planning, media analytics and audienceengagement. We're venture funded and are backed by globalmedia conglomerate - 21st Century Fox & Star India, as well asFlipkart and Saavn, and VC funds and angel investors fromSingapore, Europe, US and India.

Located in Bangalore, we’re currently one of the industry’s leadingresearch facilities in ACR/media detection technologies, and we’rebuilding some exciting technology platforms - across data analyticsand ad-tech space at massive scale - that can leverage our mediaconsumption data and enable content owners and brands toidentify, connect and engage with their target audiences acrossthe offline (TV) and online (Mobile, Apps, Social) universe.

Additionally, we’re also expanding beyond audio into the excitingdomains of image and video recognition.

Talent Acquisition• Manage full lifecycle recruitment and develop creative and innovative strategies for

sourcing and acquiring top talent.• Collaborate with leadership team and establish relationships to fully understand

their objectives. Provide service with a consultative orientation, attention to detail,follow up and follow through.

• Engage with Educational institutes to build Campus hiring strategy and deviserelevant branding strategies

• Develop an employer brand proposition and campaign that promotes our culture inorder to better attract candidates

• Coach and counsel leadership around talent acquisition strategies in order toincrease their proficiency and engagement in sourcing and attracting top talent.

People Strategy• Be the brand ambassador for culture and organization effectiveness• Cultivate the right employer value proposition (EVP) for your people that will

attract, motivate and retain different talent segments• Identify areas of inefficiencies, practices that are ad-hoc in nature and issues that

impact the organization’s ability to deliver client work well, and transform theorganization into a smooth-running one

• Conceptualize & drive Employee Engagement initiatives across all levels• Create employee opinion surveys to gauge employee pulse and support the

Managerial staff with action planning• Work closely with all functions to address employee issues proactively

Learning and Development• Understand the professional development goals for every individual and create a

detailed learning and development plan in coordination with Leadership team• Ensure managers and supervisors know how to create an environment that

supports learning events and that they are trained to follow through on learningobjectives

• Measure behaviour change after training programs to check impact andeffectiveness on the business, or return on investment (ROI)

• Establish a culture where continuous learning becomes a norm

Performance Culture• Establish a Performance Development culture and ensure the organization

has priorities for all levels while also ensuring clear metrics are in place• Drive talent reviews across teams and across the company. Strategize action

plans basis inputs received• Ensure supervisors and managers spend appropriate amounts of effort and

time coaching their teams for performance• Launch and oversee the mentoring program to enable senior staff to mentor

junior staff on their skill development as well as on their personal goals.

Leadership Development:• Create a Leadership development pipeline to help develop employees for

Leadership roles in the near future• Help equip them with the right skill sets to succeed in these new roles.

Ensure that we are constantly grooming the next set of leaders to manageand grow the company

• Execute effective Leadership Assessments, Mentoring, and Coachingprograms and follow through them on a timely basis

Compensation, Benefits, and Total Rewards• Establish a rationale for salary structures (Cash, equity and benefits) across

teams and across the company• Build policies and structures around salaries, compensation and rewards to

reduce the ad-hoc nature of compensation while ensuring transparency

HR Analytics• Ensure compliance with local, state, and legal requirements by advising

leadership on necessary actions• Set up Human resource Operations and oversee day-to-day operations of

Human Resources (e.g. establish and streamline methods, systems andprocedures) for the purpose of maximizing efficiency

• Engage in data mining and use that data to help make smarter organizationdecisions which reduce redundancies and inconsistencies

• We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building andmanaging efficient teams and cultures.

• An individual with over 15 years of relevant work experience as anHR Director or a Head of HR (generalist) with deep skill sets acrossall areas of organizational dynamics and strategic human resourcemanagement domains.

• We are looking for someone who enjoys experimenting, tinkeringand always learning. Someone, who despite their extensiveexperience truly believes that they still have a lot to learn and thateach environment is unique and requires analysing through adifferent lens altogether

• You should be passionate about identifying biases – cognitive andbehavioural – and ensuring that the processes and structures webuild are truly free of them.

• You should enjoy reading about case studies of evolving bestpractices in disruptive companies across the world, and have a pointof view on whether we can borrow from those learnings.

• You must demonstrate exceptional communication skills – bothwritten and verbal – as well as an ability to analyse conversations inorder to read between the lines.

• A passion for understanding people, their motivations, theirconcerns, their aspirations etc. will be critical
