1. Go to www.hp.com/recycle 2. HP 3D consumables listed in Section 1 above are recyclable only in the US, Canada, and Puerto

Rico with the exception of the lamp which is accepted in the US only. 3. Click on “Original HP Ink and Toner Cartridges, and Samsung Toner Cartridges”. 4. Click on “Start Recycling”.

recycling under “QTY”. 7. Scroll down and click on “Next Step”. 8. Login if you are a registered user or register as a new user. Registration is not mandatory but

recommended. 9. Follow the instructions on the website to order a shipping label, box(es) or a pre-paid envelope to

send in your HP 3D consumables for recycling. Note that boxes and/or envelopes will be shipped to and from your site for free.

4.2 Europe, Middle East, Africa

1. Go to www.hp.com/recycle 2. The only HP 3D consumable accepted in this region for recycling through the HP Planet Partners

Program is the HP 3D400 Cleaning Roll. 3. Scroll down and under the “RECYCLE” section, select your region and country from the drop list. 4. Click on “Original HP Ink and Tone Cartridges, and Samsung Tone Cartridges” for recycling your

end of life HP 3D400 Cleaning Roll. 5. Click on “Box delivery and collection service”. 6. Click on “HP Graphics & 3D cartridges and printheads” and enter the quantity of HP 3D400

Cleaning Rolls for recycling. 7. Login if you are a registered user or register as a new user. Registration is mandatory. 8. Scroll down and click on “Next Step”. 9. Follow the instructions on the website to order box(es) to collect and send in your HP 3D400

4. Rotate the cartridge connector and remove it carefully to avoid spreading any material left on it.

6. HP recommends using the provided accessory to connect the explosion-protected vacuum cleaner to avoid material spilling of any remaining material.

7. Switch-on the explosion-protected vacuum cleaner to remove the air from the bag while pushing it downwards to

separate the plastic bag from the cardboard.

8. Take out the collapsed bag and remove the connector from the explosion-protected vacuum cleaner.

9. Remove the inner cardboard and the cardboard base that remains on the bottom.

10. The following cardboard parts can be recycled through commonly available recycling programs.

NOTE: There are 6 plastic rivets that represents <1% of the weight of the cardboard of the product. Before disposing please check with your local regulations if cardboard can be disposed with some amount of plastic mixed.

NOTE: The rivets can be removed with a plier or a similar tool, using it as a lever. Then, cardboard can be easily folded.

NOTE: The cartridge connector contains an electronic chip that may not be disposed with other household waste in some countries. It can be easily removed by breaking off the plastic clip. The chip can be disposed at a designated collection point for recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. For more information, please contact your waste disposal service.

5.3 10 L materials container recycling instructions

1. Remove all labels. Dispose of adhesive labels in garbage/general waste.

2. Remove the lid by unscrewing from container. Remove additional label under lid and dispose in garbage/general waste.

3. Remove the metal and plastic auger. Pull on screw tab to pull auger straight out of container.

4. Use an explosion-protected vacuum cleaner to empty all remaining material from container. Vacuum powder off the auger as well. DO NOT RINSE AND/OR EMPTY INTO DRAINS. Container is now prepared for recycling.

Note: Long slender vacuum attachment pictured was 3D printed with HP’s MJF technology. The .STL file is available for download upon request. Email requests to [email protected]. Attachment compatible with a vacuum hose outer diameter of 38mm. HP

recommends the part be made anti-static before using to vacuum material.

Attention: A small electronic chip is glued to the container that may not be disposed with garbage/general waste in some countries. It can be easily removed before recycling.

While wearing safety goggles, wedge a flat blade screwdriver under the chip and with moderate pressure twist screwdriver to pry off chip.

The chip can be disposed at a designated collection point for recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. For more information, please contact your waste disposal service.

The remaining plastic parts may be recycled through commonly available local recycling programs, though programs may not exist in your area. Contact your local recycling program for details.

2. Remove plastic protector around the nozzle of the bag.

3. Pull out cardboard insert.

4. Remove bag from box. Collapse box. The cardboard can be recycled through commonly available recycling programs.
