Use 1/2” seam allowances unless otherwise noted.

1. With exterior fabric folded in half, RST, trace and cut out the howl pattern. Do not cut on the fold. Mark the darts.

2. Repeat with lining and optional fusible fleece.**

3. On the exterior fabric only, mark the button hole on the right side of one piece and the button placement on the right side of the other piece.

4. Sew the darts on all 4 of the fabric pieces. Press toward the back and down.

5. Take your two exterior pieces and sew them RST along the curved back part, making sure to line up the darts. Repeat with lining fabric. (diagram A)

6. Press seam open. This is easiest with a pressing ham, but the tip of your ironing board should work well enough.

7. Tuck the hoods RST and pin all the way around, making sure to align the front darts on the exterior and lining fabrics.

8. Sew around the outside, leaving a 5” opening along the bottom for turning. (diagram B)

9. Clip corners and curves,

10. Turn right side out through your opening. Tuck the opening under 1/2“ and press.

11. Top stitch 1/8” from the edge all the way around.

12. Sew your button hole and button.
