nothing about you, because they know nothing about you.3. Be concise4. It's great to show your personality, but don't be a goofball5. Conveyed a sense of you as a unique individual?6. Delivered punchy and informative statements, getting straight to

the point?

It can be of different lengths, with more or less detail, … but always with a single overriding narrative.

In summary

Your Careers Centre

Identifying your values and making career decisions that align with them can lead to greater job satisfaction.

Your interests can give you some clues about what is likely to be important in satisfying work and help you to identify industries or sectors that may appeal to you. Ideally the work (and study) that satisfies you will be the work where you are interested, motivated, and achieve your best results.

Finding a career that aligns with your personality preferences can make for a more comfortable fit.

Some skills will be natural talents that link with your character strengths and personality, while others will be learnt skills. Whether a skill comes naturally to you or not you can always develop it further through practise. Identify skills you would like to develop or improve on and set yourself some goals.

Understanding yourself allows you to start developing your unique story about you
