How to use Examview

ExamView allows teachers to create and customize tests quickly, easily, and

effectively.

Most quizzes and tests can be made in 3 easy steps!in 3 easy steps!

• create multiple tests for the same unit or chapter (reorder).

the test manager to manage online (LAN) tests, get results for online tests and generate a wide variety of reports.

• The easiest way to create a test is to use the QuickTest Wizard which will walk you through the test creation.

• You can choose to create a test using the Test Builder or enter your own questions using the Question Bank Editor.

instructions, reorder the questions, change the layout, print the test, or publish an online test.

Give your test a title.

matches with the material

you will be testing.

Question banks are

available for most parts of

the materials.

test. Don’t worry you can

remove them later.

You now have a finished test!

ExamView even prints out the answer key!

You can now edit Your Test!

First – Save your test - ‘File’ menu, click ‘Save As.’

The way to do even more:

Options:

•Add a new question

•Edit a question

•Reorder the questions

•Scramble the questions

•Change the directions

2. Pull down the

‘Question’ menu to edit,

duplicate, or delete the

question.

1. Click on question you

want to edit.

Click ‘Reorder’ to

manually change the order

of the test questions.

Click ‘Scramble’ to put the

questions in random order.

You can also scramble

questions when you go to questions when you go to

Click Save and ‘Print’ when

you are satisfied with your

test.

• Export the test for use with your ANGEL, Blackboard, or WebCT course management system.

Under the ‘File’ menu

choose ‘Publish Internet

Step 1. Choose ‘Publish’ under the File Menu.

choose to take

When you are ready to

When you are done

you want to end the test.

Important: You must use a browser such as Internet Explorer 5.0 (or a more recent Internet Explorer 5.0 (or a more recent version)/Firefox 1.0 that supports cascading style sheets level 1 (CSS1) and JavaScript. An active Internet connection is required.

Make sure you select the

Examview Learning & Test

Center as the destination

for your test

This option requires a few more steps. Once you have published it you have to assign the test for the students on the Learning & Test Center site.

Log in using your

instructor ID which you

get when you register

your product. Then

click on online

assessment.

Click Assignments Click Assignments

and select a class

1. Find the test you

want to upload in the

list.

2. Click ‘Assign.’

When do you want the test to begin, do you want the test timed…………..

After the students take the test you can access the test

results/reports.
