Test “Telling”

Visit asagarwal.com for daily dose of useful tips and tricsk on Salesforce 20Mac OS X El Capitan

1. Now the moment of truth. Tell the computer “Connect to Salesforce” and wait a moment (this is

the dictation command that we configured in Automator).

If Mac understands your accent and recognizes the command successfully it will show you a small label containing the command just above the mic icon and

execute the command

If you are from a non native English speaking country like me, you may need to practise

your accent a bit so that Mac can understand what you are saying

1. And voila, Mac opens the browser, enters the URL and logs you in to Salesforce automatically. All at your command.

Next time when you are demo-ing anything in Salesforce, just “tell”

the computer to “Connect to Salesforce” and WOW your

audience

Food For ThoughtYou can use these steps to create multiple dictation commands to login to different instances of Salesforce. For example to connect to say UAT or Test instance type the following dictation command

■ “Connect to Salesforce U A T”■ “Connect to Salesforce Test”

Just make sure that you are specifying the correct login URL, username and password for those different connections.

And why limit yourself to just connecting, sse this guide to create other dictation commands and automate
