Google’s instant search will start suggesting other keywords for you
to use.
Let’s try the More Search Tools
Sites with images finds websites with lots of images to do
with your search.
See what other countries are saying about your topic by
clicking on Translated foreign pages.
Select Reading Level and you can see how many sites are Basic (suitable for primary
students)
Select Verbatim and Google will search for the exact
keywords
Select Dictionary and find web definitions for words
Click on Images. Click on a graphic to see more information
This will tell you the size of the graphic, a link to the website where the graphic is, view the original image which will give you a jpg URL. View info will give you similar images and other websites where the
image is.
Click on Search Tools.You can refine your search by choosing size, colour
and type.
Click on More and
choose any of the
following options. For each option
click on Search Tools
to refine your search.
Click on News. Find out what is being reported in the newspapers using your keywords. Click
on Search tools to refine the search even further.
Instead of going straight to Youtube, click on the Video choice. You are less likely to see inappropriate sites with your search
terms. Click on Search tools to refine your search more.
Click on the Books choice. Click on Search tools to refine your search more.
Click on the Places choice. Click on Search tools to refine the places to search in.
Click on the Blogs choice. Click on Search tools to refine the search.
Click on Discussions. See what discussions there has been on your
topic.
Click on Applications. See what apps are available on your topic.
Click on Advanced Search to refine your search.
More Advanced Search terms
Web History. If you have signed in Google you can track your whole history of
searches with Google.
