How to replace a server license file
Follow these steps in case you would like to replace a license file by another one. This is necessary if you have purchased additional licenses for Smap3D products and have got the new license file or if you want to replace the temporary license by the permanent one containing the hardware ID.
1. Start the License Server Manager via Start → CAD-Partner → License Server Manager.
2. Start the Web Administration via the link Go to web administration. The Dashboard is displayed first. Click on Administration.

3. The following are the standard access data for the initial start (or after resetting the server to default state): User Name: admin Password: admin
4. After that you will be asked to change the default password:

5. Click on the Vendor Daemon Configuration tab and then on the Import License button.
6. Select your license file and click on the Import License button.

7. After successful import you will receive the following message:
8. Confirm with OK and activate the administration of the cadptlmd via the Administer link.
9. The text field License File or Directory displays references to the new and old license file.

10. Delete the reference to the OLD license file and save the Vendor Daemon configuration with Save:
11. Then start (or stop and start) the Vendor Daemon by clicking on the Start button.

12. Check the Dashboard to see whether the licenses are available.
13. Node-locked licenses must be assigned anew through License Client Manager on each workstation.

Add/remove a local license file
1. To add a local license file, start the License Client Manager via Start → CAD-Partner → License Client Manager.
2. If there is already a local license file which should be removed, mark the entry with (*.fnlic)
and click the button. This is required for example, when a temporary license has expired or if the MAC address on the client computer has changed and the previous license file no longer works.
3. If no license file is available, click on the Add license button.
4. In Windows Explorer, select a valid CAD Partner License (*.fnlic) and confirm your selection with the Open button.

5. The selected license file will be integrated and its contents will be displayed under Available licenses.
6. Close the License Client Manager with the Exit button.

Add a local license file
1. To add a local license file, start the License Client Manager via Start → CAD-Partner → License Client Manager.
2. Click on the Add license button. Confirm the message about replacing the license file.
3. Select a valid CAD Partner license file (CAD-Partner_License_######.fnlic) and confirm your selection with the Open button.
4. The selected license file will be integrated and its contents displayed under Active Licenses. (The license file was copied to the folder C:\ProgramData\CAD_Partner_GmbH\Licensing\Licenses and renamed to CAD-Partner_License.fnlic)
5. Click the x button to close License Client Manager.
