How to Register for the

NC State Summer Undergraduate Research

SymposiumRegistration opens on June 13th and

closes on July 16th at noon!

2019 NC State University Annual Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium -

Registration Opens June 13, 2019 at 12pm and Closes July 16, 2019 at 12pm.

Online Registration consists of:

1.) Providing information on the lead student author and other team members (groups need

to select 1 student to act as lead for registration purposes). Students MUST use their

NCSU.EDU email to register,

2.)Poster printing: http://go.ncsu.edu/symposiumposterprinting

3.) Abstract (250 word max),

4.) Providing information on the main mentor and any co-mentors.

NC State Mentors: NC State Mentors MUST have and use their NCSU.EDU UNITY email

address!

Non-NC State Mentors: Have a valid email address and they will receive a link with

password.

5.) Have mentor approval completed by the deadline. No extensions or exceptions will be

given.

The online registration system will walk you through the process and should be easy to

navigate if you have the above information ready. Once you submit your completed

registration your mentor will automatically receive an email with log in information for them

to go into the system and approve your abstract.

If you are the lead student presenter and have not previously registered with the current North Carolina State University Undergraduate Symposium, please select the symposium link below to begin registration.

All Undergraduate Registrants must have valid North Carolina State University Unity credentials. Undergraduate Co-Presenters PLEASE DO NOT register if you are not the lead student presenter.

Registration/Abstract submission Instructions:

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DEADLINE TO START YOUR REGISTRATION! MENTOR'S NEED TIME TO APPROVE YOUR ABSTRACT WHICH IS DUE BY THE DEADLINE OF JULY 16 at NOON

Read Information Below Prior to Completing Online Registration Online Registration consists of:

2.)Select poster printing (Read instructions on OUR Website) Poster printing will occur after July 17

3.) Abstract (250 word max).

4.) Providing information on the main mentor and any co-mentors. NG State Mentors ONLY: You need mentor Unity 10 for NC State mentors• and UNITY EMAIL ADDRESS of mentor. NC State Mentors MUST have and use their NCSU.EOU email address! The mentor Unity ID is typically the beginning of their NC State email address, but would not include an unde<score. fie hking@ncsu.edu unity ID is hking but heather_king@ncsu.edu would not provide the correct unity 10) Non-NC State Mentors: You need to provide a valid email address and they will receive a link with password.

5.) Have mentor approval completed by the deadline. No extensions or exceptions will be given. The abstract must be approved online by the deadline within the system in order for the registration process to be marked as complete. Without abstract approval, students and their abstracts wi II not be listed in the formal abstract book.

This is a test run of the Summer Registration System for 2017. There have been many changes from the p revious version and by viewing the

powerpoint students should be able to navigate through registration without any problems. Abstracts should explain v,hat was the

purpose/goal/problem of the research. ho\v the research v,as done. data collected, and \Yhat the data me.ans. All of this should be done within

250 words.

EDITING ABSTRACT (IF NEEDED)

If your mentor requests edits to your abstract, return to the symposium site and log in using "Edit Your Submission" Link located on the home landing page.

Your abstract will be locked once you edit and submit again.

Note: Once your abstract is approved in the system you will not be able to access your registration. Please make note of your session time.

Presentation assignments will be randomly assigned and we can not guarantee a certain session time. We expect students to be present during the entire symposium time. If you are not presenting, then walk around and visit those who are.
