70% OF USERSwill experience some form of cyber attack every year.
CHOOSE A STRONGPASSWORD.Good passwords are getting harder to
create. Your passwords should be at least 12
characters long (preferably longer), contain
numerals as well as lowercase and uppercase
letters, and should not contain guessable
personal information. (If you live on Maple St
and your first-born was born in 1990,
"Maple1990" is a terrible password.)

DON'T USE THESAME PASSWORDFOR EVERYTHING.If someone hacks your LinkedIn or Facebook
(an alarmingly common occurance), this
person can easily try out your login credentials
on your email, Twitter account, bank account,
etc. Make a unique password for each site you
hold an online account. Having so many
passwords leads us to my next point.

USE A PASSWORDMANAGER.Instead of having to remember 20 unique
passwords made up of 12+ character strings of
unrelated numbers and characters, subscribe
to a password manager like LastPass or
Dashlane. You'll still need to remember the
master password to access your dashboard,
but they'll easily store/update the rest. One
warning: while more secure, these too can get
hacked, granting access to your saved info.

OPT IN FOR TWO-FACTORAUTHENTICATION.This method requires you to confirm your
identity using both your password and a
separate code sent to a personal device (such
as your phone.) This means even if someone
get's ahold of your password, they won't be
able to access your account without also
having accessing the code sent directly to your
phone.
