The First

Impression

Most buyers start their home buying process online, browsing through real estate websites and listings.

At any given time there are thousands of properties

listed for sale in New York alone.

The main thing people look when short listing the

property is their looks.

Here are some TIPSto help you prepare your homefor a real estate photo-shoot.

• Clean the whole house thoroughly. Don’t miss to clean carpets, curtains and blinds.

• Turn all overhead lamps and light bulbs ON, replace any burned-out bulbs and make sure that all the lights are in same temperature range.

• Open all curtains and bird windows and let maximum light IN.

• Turn off all TV, computer screens and fans.

• Avoid personal photographs from walls, tables and shelves. Use general photographs or paintings instead.

• Move coats, dresses and shoes to closet or into wardrobe.

• Make all beds and table cloths.

Exterior

• Close all doors or shutters.

• Move cars from driveway and front of home.

• Clean up landscaping. Cut grass to proper height, arrange pots and remove any mow, trim shrubs etc.

• Remove toys or sports equipment from landscape.

• Tidy up outdoor tables and chairs.

• Remove visible maintenance tools, hoses and trash cans.

• Clean swimming pools and remove any water toys or balloons from the pool. Turn on water fountains and other features.

Kitchen & Dining

• Clear countertops and kitchen tables. Keep knifes, spoons and forks in storage or stands.

• Hide garbage cans and cleaning clothes

• Clear out any sticky notes and magnets from refrigerator doors.

• Move dishes from sink to dishwasher.

• Feature only a few appliances in kitchen tops.

• Straighten all chairs and space them evenly.

• Decorate dining table with flowers or fruit baskets.

Bed rooms

• Make bed, including decorative pillows and bed sheets.

• Clear any personal items from the night stand.

• Store away charging cables and gadgets.

• Remove family photos and personal items and store away.

• Strictly no used soaps, shampoo bottles, scissors etc.

• Close closet doors and put down toilet.

• Remove floor mats and clean the floor.

• Clear counter tops and place new towels or other decorative items suitable to bathrooms.
