Locate the leak. Fill up the air mattress or sleeping pad with air. Spray water on a small section of the mattress or mat.
STEP 1
5 MINUTE FACTStill having trouble locating the leak? Try spraying around the valve, as this area is a common source of leaks.

Look for any bubbles. If you see bubbles rising from the sleeping pad or air mat after applying the water, dry this area and mark it with a pen or marker.
STEP 2
5 MINUTE FACTTo deflate a self-inflating air mattress, open the nozzle and roll the mat towards the nozzle. Once it is all rolled up, close the nozzle to prevent it from re-inflating.

STEP 3
Once you have identified the leaks, deflate the sleeping pad or air mattress.
5 MINUTE FACTIsopropyl alcohol is a mild solvent that easily removes dirt, residue and body oils from fabrics and surfaces. This dirt, oil and residue will prevent a solid bond, so cleaning with a mild solvent is important.

Clean the repair area with isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt or body oils which may prevent a good bond.
STEP 4

Once clean and dry, apply a thin layer of Seam Grip® over the leak (extending at least ½’’ in all directions of the rip, tear or hole) and allow to dry flat and untouched for 12 hours.
