How To Make a Photo Story

Step 1: Start

Open Photo Story 3 and

select begin a new story.

Click “Next.”

Step 2: Import Pictures

You do this by clicking on the

import pictures button and

picking pictures from your H

drive to add to your project.

Step 3: Arrange Pictures

After adding the pictures you

want, drag them into any order

you like. You do this by clicking

on a picture, holding the mouse

button down, and moving the

picture to where you want it.

Click “Next.”

Step 4: Typing your titles

If you want, you can add words to your

pictures. To do this you type in the box

on the right. You can change the font

(click on the box with the A) and the

location of the words.

Click “Next.”

Step 5: Narration

Here you can record your narration. To record

you click on the circular button with the red

dot. When it is blinking you are recording.

To stop recording click on the button with the

square in it. To listen to it hit preview. If you

do not like it, erase it by clicking on the arrow

button.

NOTE: You can type your narration here so

that it is right in front of you when you record.

Step 6: Transitions

On the same screen where you do your

recording you can add transitions, which

make your pictures flow more smoothly.

To add transitions you click on Custom-

ize Motion, which is directly under the

picture. This will open up the screen to

the right. Here you can pick any transi-

tion you like to use in your project. You

can pick a different You must record on

each picture. transition for each photo.

Step 7: Music

The next thing you do is add mu-

sic. To use the music already in

Photo Story, click on “Create Mu-

sic.”

Step 8: Select Music

After clicking on “Create Music” the

screen to the right opens up. Here you

can pick the genre or type of music, the

style, the instruments, and the moods.

You can also decide how fast or slow you

want the music to play.

Step 9: After Adding Music

After you add music you can adjust the

volume of the music so that it isn’t too

loud.

You can add more than one song to your

Photo Story. To do this, click on the pic-

ture where you want the second song to

start. Click create music and select music.

Step 10: Saving

When you need to save your

project and want to work on it

later, click “Save Project,”

which is always at the bottom of

the Photo Story screen.

Step 11: Finding Your H Drive

Once you click “Save Project” make

sure to save it to your H drive. You

find your H drive by clicking Com-

puter and then clicking on your H

Drive, which will have your first ini-

tial and last name.

Step 12: Saving the Final Project

When you are all done with your pro-

ject you want to go to the final page,

“Save Your Story.” Select “Save

your story for playback on your com-

puter” (the first option). After you

have picked this, click browse and

find your H drive to save it to. Final-

ly, click next. This will create your

project!
