1 INTRODUCTION
L’objet de ce document est l’installation d’Oracle Grid Infrastructure dans le but d’utiliser la
fonctionnalité ASM.

2 PREREQUIS SYSTEME
2.1 RAM
4g de ram sont nécessaire pour l’installation, pour vérifier la quantité de RAM sur la machine :

2.9 System Block Size Allocation
Augmenter l’espace alloué à ARG/ENV : 128. La taille est spécifié en nombre de block de 4k.
Exemple :

2.11 Shell limits
Pour l’utilisateur « root » :
Ajouter les lignes suivantes dans le fichier /etc/security/limits.conf :

Verifier le nombre maximal de processuss autorisé pour l’utilisateur propriétaire du logiciel Oracle :

maxuproc 16384 Maximum number of PROCESSES allowed per user True
Si nécessaire, modifier la valeur :
/usr/sbin/chdev -l sys0 -a maxuproc=16384
2.12 User Process Parameters
Vérifier le nombre maximal de procéssus autorisé pour les utilisateurs propriétaire du logiciel Oracle,
la valeur doit être égal ou supérieur à 2048.
Dans un env. de production cette valeur doit être de 128 + somme de PROCESSES et
PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS pour chaque base de données.
Pour vérifier cette valeur :

3 PREREQUIS ENV. DU PROPRIETAIRE DU LOGICIEL
ORACLE
3.1 Oracle Grid Infrastructure & ASM
� Modifier le mode de cration de fichier mask (umask) à 022 dans le fichier .profile.
� Vérifier / Modifier les paramètres « ulimit » pour « file descriptors » et « processes ».
Dans le cas ou l’utilisateur est le propriétaire « ASM » :
Création d’un répertoire « ORACLE_BASE » (Oracle Flexible Architecture) :
/u01/app/« owner »
Attention : il ne fait pas créér le « home » de l’utilisateur sous « ORACLE_BASE ».
3.2 Disque candidat ASM

d’effectuer les opérations suivantes :

Sélectionner « Skip software update », cliquer sur « next ».
Sélectionner « Configure Oracle Grid infrastructure for standalone Server », cliquer sur « next ».

Sélectionner « French », cliquer sur « Next ».
Entrer le nom du groupe de disque et sélectionner le ou les disques candidat désiré. Le
« Redundancy » ici est « external », cette fonctionnalité est déjà présente au niveau de la baie.

Entrer un mot de passe pour les utilisateurs « sys » et « asmsnmp », cliquer sur « Next ».
Selectionner les groupes « dba », « osoper » et « osasm », cliquer sur « Next ».

Vérifier / modifier le répertoire « ORACLE_BASE » et le répertoire d’installation des binaires du
logiciel oracle, cliquer sur « Next ».
Les prerequis à l’installation sont vérifié, dans le cas d’un prerequis manquant corriger l’érreur.

Cliquer sur « Install ».

Executer le fichier en tant qu’utilisateur “root”.
