How to handle spammy links of your website?

Introduction

If unauthorized people make links for your website using illegal techniques then it is called spammy links and according to the penguin updates if we make such links for our website we may have to face adverse affects on the website’s ranking. Search engine doesn’t crawl spammy links as they find it improper. This leads to poor ranking. We cannot directly remove spammy links but by following some steps we can get rid of them. The steps are discussed below-

1. Firstly we have to analyze the links which are looking spammy and for this we can use tools like SEO spyglass, Open site explorer etc.

2. After that we can make a list of all the spammy links and collect all the information which we use for our website.

3. After collecting all the information we have to contact with the website administrator and tell them about the spammy links and further request for removing those links.

4. Once the unnatural links are removed, we can use Google webmaster disavow tool- one of the best tool used for telling search engine that these links are spammy and should not be considered for ranking purpose.

So this is the procedure to remove & ignore spammy links from our website. Once we get rid of them,
