–  Federal EIN Registration Certificate –  Certificate of Authority for Sales Tax –  Draw up legal forms of incorporation or partnership and get signed

by necessary parties –  Apply for Surety bond

STEP TWO:

Paperwork can take forever to process and obtain, so get a jump on it before the MVC asks for it. Some of the things you need to gather and do are:

This is the most important step of the whole process. The application can be accessed online through your states Motor Vehicle Commission along with a checklist to make sure you have everything you need in order to be approved.

Obtain liability insurance for the dealership/place of business. In case of any injury, damage, accidents…insurance is crucial.

Pay the state that surety bond you applied for, as well as other fees associated with the license process.
