How to get to full text journal articles via Endnote

Set up instructions

NSLHD Libraries your first port of call for information and knowledge

Set up on work and home computer

• In Endnote, click on Edit > Preferences

Note: If you have a Mac, in Endnote, click on Endnote > Preferences

• Click on Find Full Text

• Tick all four boxes

• OpenURL path should be:

http://tc7hc7hk2x.search.serialssolutions.com/

• Authenticate with URL should be:

http://nsccahs.intersearch.com.au/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl

• Click on URLs & Links

• ISI Base URL should be:

http://tc7hc7hk2x.search.serialssolutions.com/

• OpenURL Arguments should be:

?sid=360Link&aufirst=AUFIRST&aulast= AULAST&issn=ISSN&isbn=ISBN&atitle=ATITLE&title=TITLE&volume=VOLUME&issue=ISSUE&date=DATE&spage=SPAGE&epage=EPAGE

• Click OK

Attaching full text to Endnote Library Note: You need to be a member of the NSLHD Libraries for this. Visit your hospital library to join.

• Highlight the citations where you would like the full

articles.

• Click (find full text)

• Log in to the NSLHD Library – (Username is Stafflink ID, Password is Stafflink ID again, unless you

have changed it).

• Click Continue

• PDFs will start to attach to the citations.

• You can see how many are still to search.

When the PDF doesn’t attach Note: The above system isn’t perfect. The NSLHD Libraries may still subscribe to the journal, even though it didn’t

attach into Endnote. Some publishers/platforms don’t allow their journal articles to automatically attach to Endnote Libraries.

• Right click on the citation

• Click URL > OpenURL Link

• In some cases, this will take you to the article which you can then attach to the citation.

• In other cases, the NSLHD Libraries won’t have a subscription to that journal.

• You will have the option of double-checking that the Libraries don’t have that journal. If you need an article from a journal the NSLHD Libraries don’t subscribe to, you can request it (for NSLHD work purposes only).
