Force Formatting a SD Memory Card .
Introduction: You may have experienced problems in deleting a
Disk, many times because they contain corrupts files or virus. This document helps you to format such disks.
Caution: Formatting a disk clears everything
insise it. So, while formatting, make sure you have taken backup of all data inside it.

Step 1:
Start->Run. Type diskmgmt.msc and press OK
Step 2: You will see the disk management window containing all the info for your drives

Step 3: You will see a window similar to the one below. For SD Memory card, use FAT32, and Allocation Size as 512. Do not click on “Perform a quick Scan option” When you click OK, you shall got a message similar to the one below. Clcik OK in the warning box.
Step 4:
In my case, there was a virus preventing autorun.inf to be deleted. So, I get a message like the above one, asking whether to Force Format. Click on YES

Step 5:
It will take some time, and will format the Memory card. Initially you will see the status as below. The image below shows a status of 16%. This will climb
to 100%
Step 06: When the formatting is completed, you will see a Healthy sign as below. Now close the Disk Manger , and use the SD memory card.
