How to Draw Using Two-Point Perspective

Draw a horizontal line across the center of your page.

Add a vanishing point on each end of the horizon line.

Draw a line that’s half above and below the horizon line.

Connect the bottom and top of this line to the left vanishing point.

Connect the top and bottom to the right vanishing point.

Keeping your ruler parallel to the original line, draw a side line.

Draw a side line on the opposite side.

Erase your guide lines to the vanishing points.

Erase the part of the horizon line that goes through your form.

Draw vertical lines above and below your horizon line.

Draw lines from the top and bottom to the left vanishing point.

Draw lines from the top and bottom to the right vanishing point.

Draw the side lines to your forms, keeping them vertical.

Draw a line from the right corner to the left point.

This creates one of the lines for the bottom of your form.

Draw a line from the left corner to the right point.

This finishes the bottom of your form.

For the bottom form, draw a line from the left corner to the right point.

Then draw a line from the right corner to the left point.

Top form = worm’s eye view Bottom form = bird’s eye view

Follow the steps to change these vertical lines into forms.

Draw lines from the top and bottom to the left vanishing point.

Draw lines from the top and bottom to the right vanishing point.

Put in your side lines. Make sure they’re vertical.

Draw lines from the left corner to the right point.

Draw lines from the right corner to the left point.

Erase any remaining guide lines.
