How do you improve your copying?

• In the beginning you may only be able to manage 2-3 words. Practice will increase this.

• Try to ensure you read the WHOLE sentence

• Or the entire line.

• Try repeating it in your head…repeating it in your head.

• Write down as much as you can. As much as you can.

• If you forget a word, leave a space, when you finish writing that part down, go back and see what the word was.

• Practice this as much as possible. It gets easier.

• Copying off the board is a skill that can be learnt. It requires practice but is worthwhile because it means you can copy the information down quickly without wasting time and you are also more likely to understand what you have copied down.
