Introduction.

Choosing a computer always is a big problem, because all of the people think that the most powerful are for him but the problem begins with their budget, there are so many computer out there and there are very expensive for example a computer for gaming are at least 800$ USD , so the solution is asking him first what do you do on the computer and so many people wants their computer for doing several things like office or browsing internet so they dont really need a super computer just they need the right computer, So what is the right computer thats easy when you know what are the proposes for use, first we need asking if we want a laptop ,notebook ,Ultrabook or a desktop pc. Then comes the operating system the majority of people thinks that only exist windows mac Linux and there are.

Windows always is the most hated and the most loved because is what are used to use since the operating systems began to appear to home people so for this reason there are so many viruses and malware that can cause several problems for the user and their computer but always you can find information about how to solve.

Mac for the other hand are for rich people and hipsters nowadays and their machines are exclusively used for professional applications and content creator applications but damn there are so expensive like 1000$ USD. And their system claim to be perfect and the reality is not they have a lot of problems, over the years they have planned obsolesce, that means the computer has to be replaced in several years because the newer programs dont run for any reason in that old machine.

Linux is the most flexible secure and compatible of these three because they use a free code and this means that is free and the programmers can make patches for the errors of the system, but there are so many versions out there and you need one for your computer and your needs, and the main problem is that the majority of people are used windows in the past and they want a windows in Linux so they never get used to.

And the marketing is so big these days that the people gets confused very easily for what belongs to him, its simple if you now what are you buying , but most of them dont so they buy the most beautiful and the best label but is not always the case. for example the most of the computers in a store have the best they can offer in the description if you see HDD(hard disk drive) and RAM and touch screen this computer is bad for many reasons, first they probably has the worst CPU because is not good they dont put the wrong things to sell. Second is HDD is the slowest thing in the computer. Third one is the touchscreen in a computer is not practical and increases the price of the machine a lot.

So our recommendation is not going to bought if you dont know what to buy.

OS (operating system).

To start, we are going to talk about the Operating System, nowadays there is many of them, but not every S.O. is good for a normal user. Here's a list of few:

Windows Xp: they are used to be the most readable and the most faster in his time the flexibility they can afford are incredible nowadays they still using in vending machines to ATM they has the classical interface of the start menu and the explorer, they are the less secure because all the branches that the coders left behind and backdoors that hackers can used to exploit your system.

Windows 7: The most common between Windows users, is designed for desk computers and laptops, in this version, Microsoft made many changes:

Added a better way to search and store content like music, documents and images in folders called "Library".

Allows emulated Windows XP with a program called Windows Virtual PC.

Windows 8: His interface is similar to Android, that makes it easiest to use, the apps are in the main window so the only thing that you need to do is "press it", instead of search in other folders first. The only bad thing about this S.O. is their weight and resource consumption. Here's a list of more of his features:

Added a Windows Store, a digital distribution platform which in a manner similar to Apple's App Store and Google Play allows for the distribution and purchase of apps designed for Windows 8.

The "Start screen", the first window that we see, serves as the primary method of launching applications and consists of a grid of app tiles which can be arranged into columnar group.

Many of PC's who have Windows 8, also have touchscreen.

Windows 8.1: its the same of windows 8 but in a accomplishment of the tablet mode from users they listen and they have to change from more traditional ways bring him back the start logo

Mac: mac are for people that likes the clean fresh environment they bring is easy and powerful to use and for editors is the key to do in less time.

Linux: is the most customizable os you can use because is freecode that means that if you want you can make like your own if you know how to do it, and is the most secure of all because if someone finds a branch they patch in less than a month.

Ram.

Now, we should talk about the RAM, they are the responsible for loading all the instructions that execute the CPU and other computational units, we called it Random Access Memory because you can read or write to a memory location with a same timeout for any position, not being necessary an order to access, that makes it faster.

Right now, exist different models of RAM, the latest are DDR3 and DDR4, being these the best choice for our PC. Every RAM has its own features (speed, operations by second, time between signals, etc.) but its just enough to know the most current.

Cpu.

The processor, is the mainly component of the PC, responsible for processing basic instructions that drive a computer. Nowadays there is a lot of them, different trademarks with his own features, making this one most difficult to choice, fortunately there are some webpages that contain tables of comparison between processors, made by users. This is helpful because even if we compare two processors (for example, Intel Core i3 and Intel Core i4) one of them, even if its a latest version, his speed could be less than the other one.

For this, here is more examples:

In this cases the more cores and frequency more expensive and better the processor would be in most of the average consumer grade will be an i5 4210m is the best ratio performance for the price and the more powerful you can chose is i7 4901MQ.

Intel has the Gpu integrated too but only on entry level Cpu market because they uses a considerable space in the Cpu chip that can be used to add an additional core, but they are worst than her competition Amd.

AMD

For more affordable pc they have an alternative processors that are as more powerful as Intel but they have less performance on intensives tasks and worst TDP (thermal dissipation power), but they are 40% less expensive overall.

The list of this processors are more compressible for the people they assign theirs names like E-2 A-4 so they indicates: A = Apus #= physical cores -2 and M=Mobility, the greater the number the best performance from A-4 to A-10 the next chart show the variety of Apus and their frequency.

They also include a technology named APUS. What is a APU is an accelerated processor unit that means that they have a Gpu on a single Cpu socket. They are more less powerful than a single Gpu card for this reason this Apus are more oriented in multimedia an less powerful task.

(FRECUENCY)

In the past, more frequency means more power more instructions that the processor can do at the time but they are just a number because the material that they are made only support 6.0 GHz and becomes flammable and instable for this reason they put more cores to handle that problem. Remember more cores at less frequency equals more reliable system and more computer process can archive.

Gpu

Gpu is one of the most important things you can chose, because is like another Cpu but instead they compute graphics, and most actual programs can utilize the extra power that Gpu can do, so choosing the right Gpu for you is the key to play ultra hd videos or playing games or for graphics animation and modeling, choosing the Gpu can be a lite tricky at first but knowing the main brands and models can you chose the right decision, this is the list of actual Gpu from AMD and Nvidia:

In this case is the same the mayo the value better the Gpu the most cheaper the less performance but the most powerful Gpu can cost 400% more than the less powerful so all depends on your needs and your budget. Here Amd is the cheapest because the (TDP) more heat less life capability. So NVidia has a less power consumption and the better performance overall, but they are 50% most expensive, a lot of programs can use a NVidia Gpu because they hire big companies to use their brands and optimize their programs to run in this Gpu so in a lot of heavily task they can use technologies implemented on their unique Gpu architecture. They proses physics and accelerate the random number generator this is for simulations like a IA on a game or a physics of particles.

Dispositive of storage.

They can be a hard drive or a solid state drive what they are and why are so important for your system.

Because all the programs and multimedia files need a place to be stored, they are the site they can be HDD, SSD, and SSHD:

HDD: Hard disk drive they have magnetic plates, that spin 54000rpm 72000rpm and 10000rpm, and has from 6mb to 6TB of storage they are cheap and slow as well because they have a moving pieces that can be easily damaged over time or a impact, they has the standard storage from the 1980 and the same technology has applied from this time the only change was the size.

SSD: they are Solid State Drives means that they dont have moving parts and they can be 600% more faster than traditional HHD but they are in this time a lot more expensive, they has more resistance from shocks to shakes, they are limited storage options from 32GB to 1TB because they uses a flash and this are expensive to make nowadays. The variety of ssd in the market this days the most expensive are the most reliable, fastest and better warranty over fails.

HSSD: combines both solving the need from one of another they have mechanical parts an a 8, 16, 0 32GB of SSD inside of the same package, they works caching the most used data from the hhd in to a ssd, so when you open a file multiplies times they have already un the fasters memory ready to use.

Monitor.

The monitor is the main component of a system because without him, you cannot use the pc they have different sizes and panels, the better the panel and the sizes the monitor better and expensive for example:

Crt: Cathode ray Tubes they are the first to appear they have a catholic tubes emitting cathode rays from the tube to a crystal panel, they have a wide angle vision, they are limited for the size and they harm your eyes if you use without yellow glasses

TFT: they are the first flat panels and they resolution are limited and the contrast reduced, they offer a less sharp image and blurry content from limited angles. They have a limited luminescence

TN: panels are successors from TFT they has a led backlight a little more contrast and they are more big and they are so cheap they introduce the 720p resolution at 60h, they lack of deep black they have a color bleed as well.

IPS: offered a 1:1 color reproduction accuracy and they has wide angles as well and the sizes can be 100in so they are the best for picture and movie making.

LED: they are the most expensive and the most beautiful to see because the individual dot of color and the pixel density they can archive are stunning the contrast are so high and the blacks are pure blacks, they dont fatigue the eyes as much as CRT does.

Real Case scenario.

The following person wants a computer that can easily play the last gen video games with a limited budget of $12,000 so with the previous acquired knowledge the followings components are chosen:

Chasis: this arent important at all we gave to pick in based of their like.

Cpu: fx8600 octa-core ideal to handle the latest games that require a lot of computing proses and its a lot more cheaper than the equivalent of intel.

Ram: We choose 16 GiB of Kingston hyper-X 2000 Mhz cl0 that the higher clock speed that improves speed and with a higher capacity can handle easily the operating system and the minimum ram requirements of games that are GiB of ram

For the motherboard we Chose as comveniencie a Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 that for the price was good enough and the client dont want a lot of ports and expansion cards.

Power supply: to handle the 100w cpu and the graphics card of 125w we need to put a extra money on that because is the main problem over time and if the voltage varies can damage the rest of the components so we chose a Cx700 80 plus bronze power supply.

HDD: as the games become more large and the multimedia has a lot of space and the person who want that pc already own like 35 modern games and several anime series we chose a Wenstern Digital 3TiB 7200rpm HDD.

Gpu: in this case we chose a gtx750 ti is the medium end of graphics card that is capable of playing the recent titles on 1080p/60fps on medium settings and the client only want to play smooth not at very high settings so we decied to put that on. And unfortunately the store hasnt no more models to shoes from

The monitor he already has one.

Mice and keyboard we chose a combo of Logitech g100s that are cheap and has great quality overall.

The operating system has to be windows 8.1 because games and directx 11 capabilities.

Second Real Case Scenario.

Now that we have a clear idea about computer components, we are going to put some examples of cases of what kind of computer could be better for each person.

A graphic designer wants to buy a desk computer for his job but he doesn't know which one could be good for his requirements, between his options he see, there are some computers that he can afford to buy.

One of them is a computer that cost $11,000.00 with the next features:

6GB of RAM ( DDR3)

Intel Core i5 4210U Processor 1.7 Ghz (as i mentioned it before, here is important to know the complete model of the processor) quad core.

250GB SDD

Windows 8.1

The cost of the another computer is $10,000.00 with the next features:

4GB of RAM (DDR3)

AMD FX 8350 Processor 4.0 Ghz octacore.

1TB HDD

Windows 8.1

And the last one cost $12,000 with the next features:

6GB of RAM (DDR3)

AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7 Ghz quadcore.

250GB SDD

Windows 8.1

Which one is better for him?

To know the answer we have to consider some steps, first, as we know, this person wants a personal computer, which makes more easy to choose because in computer desk we can "update" their components buying more RAM, another HDD or SSD, even a new Processor, not like a laptop that most of their components are welded to the motherboard. Second, his job is graphic designer, so is going to need a good computer to run their programs, in this case RAM, Processor and HDD/SSD are important. As we know, in all three cases, the best RAM will be the 6GB one, in the case of processors, we can see their speed, the one with 4.0 Ghz is better, but this have a HDD and is more slow at read. In conclusion, we can sacrifice a bit of speed in their processor with the computer of 3.7 Ghz with a 250 SSD.

Let's see another case so different from the first one:

A psychology student wants to buy a computer for his school works, after visited a lot of stores, there are two that he can afford to buy.

The cost of the first one is $9,000 with the next features:

4GB RAM

150GB HDD

Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 Processor 2.10 Ghz dual core

Windows Vista Home Premium

The cost of the second one is $8,600 with the next features:

2GB RAM

320GB HDD

AMD Sempron 2650 Processor 1.4 GHz dual core

Windows Vista Home Premium

In this case, both laptops are cheap, but we have to choose only one, so, lets analyze each one. 4GB RAM is better, 320 HDD and both Operating Systems are the same, so, the last thing is he processor, Intel Core is better in their clock speed, both are dual core... but the first win is $400 more expensive than the second one. The psychology student doesn't need a good computer because he dont need to run other programs than the Microsoft Office set, internet browser and multimedia player, however, if we see the separated cost of the components, we can calculated the true difference between both computers, for instance, a 2GB RAM card cost approximately $150, a 150GB HDD $350 and a 320GB HDD $650, so the difference between both HDD is $300, plus the extra RAM card will be $450.

In conclusion, the total cost with the same RAM and HDD as the first one is $9,100, more expensive with a slowest processor.

Conclusion

choosing the right computer of the need of the people is not always a easy as seems so we cover the most important specs to consider if you want to build a pc or for choosing the laptops and we dont recommend buy a computer just for the style of simply because is the most expensive and the best brand of the market. Its about the person requirements and the use is meant for its always a right computer for you and your budget no mather what brand what store always are choice to made for and if you looking specific needs someone can recommend you and help to your purchase.
