How to Become a Member

Becoming a member is completed in two parts.

Part 1: Registering your account (steps 1-6)Part 2: Completing the online application and submitting documentation (steps 7-17)

Follow the steps below to complete this process and become a Registry member.

Step 1. Go to www.the-registry.org

1. Enter in your personal information.2. Be sure to include an accurate email address. The Registry will use this to contact you about your account.3. Click CONTINUE.

1. Make sure your personal information is accurate.2. Check the box if the MAILING ADDRESS is the same as your HOME ADDRESS.

Step 4b. New Online Application

1. Your birth date and your last 5 digits of your Social Security Number are used to validate your account. Add a SECURITY QUESTION from the drop down menu.2. Click SUBSCRIBE to receive informational emails and newsletters from The Registry. You may change your COMMUNICATION PREFERENCE at any time.3. Click SUBMIT to continue.

Step 5. Privacy Policy

Check the box and click CONTINUE after you have carefully read the Privacy Policy.

1. Check the box to BECOME A REGISTRY MEMBER. You may also check the corresponding boxes below if you would like to ADD A TRAINER ENDORSEMENT or CONSULTANT ENDORSEMENT.2. Notice your Registry ID Number on the right hand side.3. Click CHANGE PASSWORD to edit your password. You may edit this at anytime.4. Click APPLY to start your online application.

Step 12c: Employment History

1. Your status will list SELF-REPORTED until your employer verifies your employment record.2. If you have managerial experience, click ADD EXPERIENCE. This is one way of meeting the managerial requirements for Administrator in licensed care centers.Please note: You will need to send in supporting documents that describe the position and duties for verification.3. Click CONTINUE to advance to the next page of the application.

Step 13a: Training

1. Trainings that you took will be listed. 2. Note the check mark means that this training was verified by the trainer.3. Type the EVENT ID NUMBER for any events that you attended but are not listed. The ID Number can be found on the training attendance certificate. Then click ADD EVENT. (See the next step for an example).

1. Once you add the event, it will show up here.2. Notice the event is not verified. This event can be verified by mailing a copy of the certificate. More clarification is provided on the last page of the application.3. If this event was added in error, click DELETE to remove it from your record.

Please note: Trainings completed during the continuing education year without the Event ID numbers will be added as other continuing education hours by The Registry. Please send in a copy of the certificate.

Step 16: Application Successfully Submitted

1. Please remember to submit the listed documentation. You will also receive an email listing the documents you need to send to The Registry. You may mail your documents to The Registry at the listed address, fax them to The Registry (608-222-9779) or email them ([email protected]). Please note: Remember to list your Registry ID number on your documents.2. Click I HAVE NO DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT button if you choose not to send any documents for The Registry to verify. Please Note: By choosing this option, you agree to have your membership application processed with only the information previously verified in your

Step 17a: Personal Profile

After submitting your application, you will be redirected to your Personal Profile.

1. This date indicates when your application was submitted. An additional date will appear to show when your documentation was received.

Step 17b: Personal Profile

1. You may pay online with a credit card or by mailing a check. If you sent a check, please allow 2-3 weeks for payment processing. Please submit payment as soon as possible. Please note: Your application will be canceled if payment is not received within 90 days from when your online application was submitted.2. All documentation should be sent to The Registry in one envelope. You may also email or fax documentation. The Registry will begin processing your application once documentation is received. 3. Please send in any documents to The Registry as soon as possible. Please note: Failure to

Please Note: The Registry will send an email notification that you have completed your online application. The Registry will also send email reminders to send in documentation.
