Skills needed Dental hygienists need to be able to have the following skills:

Good memory, so they can remember the tools, and what they are needed for

Team work

Able to provide good service

Without fear of germs

Able to be good cleaners

Work environmentThey work in different places (Hospitals, clinics, offices, schools, etc)

Some work in private offices

Some work in industrial offices

And some in public offices. (Ex: public schools)

EducationThey must choose one out of three types of programs. They are the following:

Certificate/Diploma, this typically takes 2 years of college

An associative degree, that takes about 3 years of college

All of them must have a special work licence

SalaryThe approximate salary is from $50,140, to $98,440, but

the average salary is $72,330.
