There are three types of Pencil:

FELT TIP PENS. COLOURED PENCILS.

Felt tip pens adds a bold brightness to your work.

It adds a cartoon/ poster effect to your work.

Add a little water to your felt tip drawings and THIS creates a more

natural looking and mixing effect to your work well.

Coloured pencils adds colour to your work but creates a more natural, grainy effect to your work,

it works best if you want your work to have a little colour and can play about with gradients of colour.

PAINTING.

acrylic paints

Acrylics are water-based paints, which means they can be mixed

with water to thin them down and you clean your brushes with

water. They’re made from pigment mixed with acrylic resin and

emulsion. Acrylics are very fast drying.

Another essential piece of kit for any artist. Painting is probably one of the most traditional way of creating artwork.

Water-colour paints.

water-colour paints are similar to acrylic paints are better for mixing when on the canvas/ paper.

Water.Use a old jar, fill it with water to

clean your brushes.

Use a palette to mix when painting. It is designed for this.
