First Step

• The first step to baby proofing a house is to crawl around your house.

• It sounds silly but how else will you know what is dangerous at that level.

Second Step

• The second step is to take anything that is very valuable to you or easily broken and put it away or somewhere that a baby cant reach.

Don’t Forget

• Don’t forget to plug all of the electrical outlets.

• You can buy plastic plugs.

• Or you can replace them with childproof outlets

Third Step

• If you have tables or counters with sharp corners they are a hazard.

• You can rearrange furniture so that the sharp edges don’t stick out

• You can also cover some of them with rubber

Fourth Step

• Secure all cupboard doors

• Secure all kitchen drawers with childproof locks. You don’t want your kids able to get a hold of knives of cleaning supplies

Fire Places

• Fire places are were most baby injuries happen. Because people forget. If you have a fireplace the corners should be covered by throw pillows or rubber.

Burns

• Its usually a good idea to turn your water heater down about 20degrees.

• Don’t leave coffee pots mugs of tea anything that is hot. Unless you are holding it.

Monitors

• You should have a baby monitor in your baby's room and one near you

• A way to check if they work is to set a ticking clock next to one and listen to the one near you
