There are two types of question…
DIRECT QUESTIONS

INDIRECT QUESTIONS
REPORTED SPEECH
BOB ASKED WHO ATE THE GERBIL.
IN LATIN THE VERB GOES INTO THE SUBJUNCTIVE.

A few details
1) NUM in an indirect question means “WHETHER” not “surely not”

2) When there are two alternatives look out for utrum…an – whether …or
