By Dr. Emil Tompkins – A
Chiropractor in Oro Valley
with a passion for health and
really cool gadgets
Last night, I had the pleasure of
spending the night outside an
Apple store waiting for a phone.
I was surrounded by a bunch of
people crazy over something as
simple as a new cell phone.
This phone is a
little nicer, a little
better than the
previous model
but probably not
worth staying up
all night for.
It was about that time that I
realized, I’m one of the crazy
people. I was right there with
them, number 29 in line and
excited for the opportunity to get
my hands on one of these phones
as soon as they were available.
I set everything aside to sleep
on concrete to pick up a
telephone that wasn’t going to
change my life in any way. I
feel really silly right now.
What this evening concrete
camp-out did point out that if
something is important to you,
that many would go through
extraordinary circumstances to
get it.
What is it for you?
3 surprisingly simple ways to relieve BACK PAIN
How important is your
health? Many would say that
their health is important,
but if it’s really important,
Are you taking extraordinary
measures to achieve your health
goals, or do you simply decide
you’re too busy with everyday
life to make a difference that
will dramatically improve your
daily living.
How much time do you spend
on different areas of your
life? Write down the amount of
time spent in these areas.
work?
sleeping?
with your spouse or
significant other?
with your children?
watching TV
on the computer?
trying to get your new
iphone to work?
improving your health?
Where your time is spent really
shows what you value. This
may be hard to look at at first.
What’s great is that if you notice
inbalance in an area, you can
simply start changing how much
time your spending on those
areas and improve where it’s
needed.
What’s really wonderful is
that, changing your health
generally takes under an hour per
day of work. Is your health
worth it? It’s up to you.
For now, if you don’t have much
time spent improving your
health, try to simply add one
thing. Maybe 10 minutes of
walking. Throw that in a couple
of times in your day and you’ll be
on your way to living healthier. .
Maybe think about adding time
eating healthy. Little by little
you’ll achieve your goals.
Have a healthy week.
