What would happen if the number of producers decreased? Why?
We ate all the plants so the
herbivores had nothing to eat!
We were poisoned by chemicals which were leached from the

What caused the extinction of dinosaurs?
Something killed off all of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. We don't know exactly what it was, but many scientists believe it was a large comet or asteroid that struck the coast of what is now Central America. There were also other possibilities, such as disease, climate change and the rise of mammals.

So what is the evidence
for this?
Do these craters only happen on the earth?
• These are images of lunar craters.
• This is a south view across Oceanus Procellarum with the large crater, Schiaparelli
• This lunar crater is known as Timocharis and is 33 kiliometers in diameter.
Possible theories for varying crater sizes
• Varying sizes – dust particles to km• Varying composition – rocky, metallic and
