General InformaTIon

We warmly welcome you to this forty-third meeting of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology (founded in 1974). If you have arrived late and have not yet registered, you may do so at the registration table in the lobby. It will be open following the Friday night meeting and Saturday morning before the all-day session.

There will be refreshments in the fellowship hall during registration to assist us in getting to know one another. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall for those that pre-ordered a meal.

If you are a Member Church pastor or President’s Circle member be sure to stop by the Member’s Lounge in Room 140 (near registration) for refreshments, gifts, and to catch up on what’s new at the Alliance.

The conference bookstore is located in rooms 143 and 144.

Audio recordings of the conference can be ordered at the audio table. Free shipping is available for orders placed during the conference.

Music for the conference has been provided by Westminster Brass (James Hala, director); Hilary Orlando, organ and piano; Chancel Choir of Proclamation Presbyterian Church (Roger Cocking, interim director).

The final service of the 2016 conference coincides with the Sunday morning worship services of Proclamation Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Philip Ryken will be speaking on Luke 24:44-48, “The Last Sermon of Jesus Christ.”

The PCRT is partially supported by the sales of recordings of our events, therefore audio and video recording is strictly prohibited during any part of this event without prior written consent from the Alliance and Proclamation Presbyterian Church. Thank you for your stewardship towards this ministry.

“My first experience at a PCRT was a taste of heaven, an appetizer to whet my appetite for the feast Dr. Boice now enjoys every day.” — R.C. Sproul

Prelude (6:30 p.m.)Holy, Holy, Holy J.B. Dykes/arr.L. Carlson

How Great Thou Art Stuart K Hine/ arr. Dan ForrestO Lord my God, how great thou art!

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder consider all the worlds thy hands have made; I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed.

RefrainThen sings my soul, my savior God to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art! Then sings my soul, my savior God to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, and hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze; Refrain

And when I think that God his Son not sparing, sent him to die, I scares can take it in; That on the cross my burden gladly bearing, he bled and died to take away my sin. Refrain

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim, “My God, how great thou art!” Refrain

The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals is a coalition of confessional pastors, scholars, and churchmen who hold the historic creeds and confessions of the Reformed faith and who proclaim biblical doctrine in order to foster a Reformed awakening in today’s Church. Our members join for Gospel proclamation, biblically sound confessional doctrine, fostering of reformation, and the glory of God. We work and serve the Church through media, events, and publishing.

The work started in media – The Bible Study Hour with James Boice, Every Last Word featuring Philip Ryken, Mortification of Spin with Carl Trueman, Todd Pruitt, and Aimee Byrd, No Falling Word with Liam Goligher, Theology on the Go with Jonathan Master, and Dr. Barnhouse & the Bible with Donald Barnhouse. These broadcasts air throughout North America and online at AllianceNet.org.

Place for Truth is our online magazine—a free “go-to” theological resource. Christward Collective is a theological conversation on a wide range of questions and issues. reformation21 provides cultural and church critique. The Shepherd Leader is a resource for pastors and church leaders. Meet the Puritans shares the theology and writing of the Puritans with a modern audience. Our online daily devotionals include Think and Act Biblically and MatthewHenry.org, a resource fostering biblical prayer.

Our events include the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology, the oldest, continual, national Reformed conference in North America and regional events including theology and Bible conferences. Pastors’ events, such as Reformation Societies, continue to encourage, embolden, and equip church leaders in pursuit of reformation in the Church.

Alliance publishing includes books from a list of trustworthy authors including titles such as Zeal for Godliness, Our Creed, and more. We also offer a vast list of affordable booklets, as well as eBooks such as Learning to Think Biblically and How to Live a Holy Life.

The Alliance further seeks to encourage sound, biblical doctrine by offering a wide variety of CD and MP3 resources featuring Alliance broadcast speakers and many other nationally recognized pastors and theologians at ReformedResources.org
