How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

What were your ancillary tasks did you use and were they effective?

• My ancillary tasks consisted of a magazine cover and a film poster. I find that my film poster is quite effective with my main production than my magazine cover overall. I find that my magazine cover follow the theme I am trying to create and could be improved quite significantly.

How could your Ancillary task be improved?

• I can improve my magazine cover through changing the background or I could adjust the photo of my two main characters and fade it into the background with the photo the same size as the page.

• Or I could use part of my slogan or film name onto a darker background. The thing I have found most effective on my film poster is the effect of the slogan I used, to my target audience it looked like a black screen at the top but when stood up they were able to read and see the slogan of my film quite clearly, I could use this effect on my.

• My media poster is aimed at a target audiences of adolescents who enjoy to watch films of the thriller genre and who enjoy to go to cinema or have access to the digital media.

• I combined all three of my media products with my magazine cover although my magazine cover doesn’t really carry the thriller theme I put the poster on the front of my cover as well as brief information based on the film, such as dates.

• This combined them all together as it shows them all in one place so my target audience is easily capable of seeing my main production as well as my media poster along with the magazine cover as well.

Conclusion

• Overall I find my media texts and production do work rather well although my magazine cover could do with some tweaking.

• I think my magazine cover could still work together because it portrays all my three media productions but with brightness which contrasts well with the darkness of my main production and my media poster, I find this rather effective.

• Also with the combination of all three productions I think will attract my target audience to see my main production even more with the help of my magazine cover which in turn shows a great outcome of combinations on each media texts and my main production.
