Evaluation Stages?

Blogger• Blogger is the Website where all of

my work is published. All the work through the pre-production process, planning and mind mapping, production stage where we made detailed diary entries, and finally the evaluation stage is published.

• The website is an open source blogging site where anybody can comment upon work I have published thus I can gain audience feedback.

• All of the work present on my blog also provides proof that the processes we took as a group and the work that I completed by myself is original work.

Adobe Premier• The bulk of the editing of the documentary was done

using Adobe Premier Pro. It is an industry standard programme and it takes time to get used to, this is why we made a preliminary documentary about mobile phones.

• Some of the processes we had to go through on Premier were adding in the raw footage, cutting it up in to the bits we wanted to use, whilst logging them in to another sheet that can be found on my blog.

• Premier allows the sound to be manipulated from a low volume and in mono to a louder and stereo output this had to be done so the documentary sound levels were equal and the documentary sounded professional.

• We had to add in title cards for our interviewees and a main title card for the name of the documentary all this was achieved by using the title window in premier its self.

Adobe Premier• The radio advert was also edited on

Adobe Premier Pro this was done with no moving image on the image layer.

• There was one music bed which had to be the same as the one used in the documentary its self to aid continuity. Also small vox pop interviews were included to give the audience a small insight in to what was going on in the main documentary.

Tagul

• Tagul allowed our brainstorm of ideas to be portrayed in a creative way. The website allows the user to enter a list of words and it will put them in to the lay out of a user customisable shape or design.

Adobe Photoshop• The main use of Adobe Photoshop

was for the creation of the print advert. A main picture was taken using a cannon DSLR camera, which was then edited with the colour saturation, hue and levels edited. The typography was downloaded from www.dafont.co.uk which was then installed to the computer and used in the advert. Finally for the advert to conform to the conventions of a channel 4 print advert the channel 4 logo had to be inserted on the right of centre in the middle of the document.

Sony HD Film Camera• The use of a HD industry

standard film camera allows for a professional and high quality finish to the documentary. The high definition footage allows the audience to enjoy the production further due to how well finished it is.

• Although the camera is an industry standard piece of equipment the simplicity and high user ability of the hardware allowed for the optimum usage and highest quality video.

SlideShare

• Slideshare.net is an online service which I used to convert text and presentation documents so they could be embedded on to my blog. This allowed for a different way of presenting the evidence on my blog opposed to straight text.

Prezi• Prezi is an online presentation

creator, I used this to display information during the pre-production (research and planning stage) and the evaluation stage, in an interesting and user friendly way. Prezi allows a presentation to be embedded on to my A2 Media blog thus again allowing for a new, creative and initiative way to display the key parts of all the production stages.

YouTube• YouTube is another important

website for the process of creating a documentary its wide range of videos includes documentaries which I analysed before starting the production stage. Furthermore in the post production stage it allows us to gain audience feedback through the comments section, important feedback which will aid us in the evaluation stage.
