SOUTH CAROLINA DECLARATION OF CAUSES OF SECESSION-
• State Compact Theory - Constitution is an agreement among states.
• If one state breaks Constitution, other states no longer have to follow it
and can leave Union.
• Northern states violated Constitution by passing personal liberty laws
