Transcript of How Car's Inadequate Cooling System Causes Vehicular Heatstroke
A 4 cylinder vehicle produces 4000 controlled explosion inside the engine while injecting the fuel to cylinder and these
explosion produces huge amount of heat that can destroy the engine in a minute.
It consist of a liquid coolant that circulates
within the engine
The coolant can be cooled by the
air that is coming through the front grill of
vehicle
Basic Work of
The Cooling System
Current Cooling system : It maintain the engine’s temperature in a constant position and it isn’t affected by outside temperature (Ex whether it is 110 degree or -0 degree outside)
The coolant should
contain rust inhibiters
and lubricant
Coolant must resist below 0 temperature
without freezing
Must handle excess 250
degree temperature
The combination of coolant ……
Coolant is the mixture of ethylene(antifreeze)
and water
Ratio involves 50:50
Where the climate condition can be
zero then the combination is 75:25
Pure ethylene or antifreeze wont
work properly and cause a boil over inside the engine
Coolant should be kept away from
human or pet reach as it’s dangerous for
health

Radiator :
The radiator helps the hot coolant to cool again by the help of outside Air that comes through the grill
Pressure Cap and Reserve Tank
The pressure cap maintains the pressure in cooling system up to a certain point that allows the coolant to reach excess of 250 degrees of temperature
> When the coolant reaches the highest point of pressure it
starts bursting out
> To keep these overflow and make use it later the reserve
tank is placed inside the engine
Reserve Tank
Water Pump
Helps in moving the coolant from one place to another till the engine is on . It is located in front of the engine and starts working when engine starts.
Thermostat
The thermostat is a valve that measures the temperature of coolant if it’s hot then it allows the coolant to flow towards radiator for cooling down.
Bypass System
This is a passage that allows the coolant to flow to the radiator and after cooling down it can return back to the engine.
Freeze Plugs
These plugs helps to store the coolant from pouring out. This plugs are last long with the engine with no effect of deterioration .
Head gasket and Intake manifold Gasket
They are used To block the cylinder heads that prevents from leaking of oil and coolant
Heater Core
This is a small radiator system that maintains heat inside the
interior of vehicle when needed.
